Cafe Gratitude

Cafe Gratitude

I look forward to my visits to Cafe Gratitude long before my trips to LA. This place is a mini vegan paradise. With six locations (a seventh coming soon), you don't have to be limited to just one city to find food and people filled with love. I can only personally speak about the Venice location since it's the only one I've been to, so far, but with menu item names like "I am Magical" and "I am Humble," it's impossible to be unhappy once you've walked through the doors at Cafe Gratitude. The staff is generous, kind and assertive, and the food will blow your mind. They offer an array of raw options, as well as salads, bowls, sandwiches and desserts, among other dishes. My favorite item on the moment is the Whole Bowl which I wouldn't have necessarily noticed had it not been for my best friend who used to work at Cafe G. He insisted I order it and I've suggested it to everyone since! The Whole Bowl is made out of braised butternut squash, adzuki beans, sea vegetables, seasonal sautéed Be Love Farm greens, housemade kim chee, black sesame seed gomasio, garlic-tahini sauce, teriyaki almonds, sunflower sprouts, sprouted probiotic brown rice or quinoa. Give it a try at Cafe Gratitude!

Sage Bistro

Sage - A plant Based Bistro

I've only had the pleasure of eating at Sage once before, but I'm confident I will return many times in the future. I had lunch there with two seasoned LA vegans so they knew exactly what to get. Sage's menu will drive you crazy because of their wide array of dish options from their nachos, to their many vegetable bowl options, salads, creative entrees, and of course their raw vegan sundae. The space is big, bright and refreshing, and they even have a section of the restaurant dedicated to serving their homemade ice cream and soft serve! What more could you possibly want? Sage Bistro
